The Lil Buds (Abu:ti Waira) Have Landed:

Origin: District # Classified : a post war wasteland, remnants of nuclear material and a yet unknown element that causes the breakdown of organic material and prevents the growth of new life around it. Small patches of the district appear to have been reclaimed through a mysterious terraforming process. 

Classification: Agricultural Bio-Organism

Use Case: Food, Companionship, Ecological Preservation

Communication: The Waira speaks in a currently unknown language, our couriers deal with a sort of caretaker that seems to have formed a working relationship with the buds. We have come to know him as Farmer Bob. (Note: More information on Farmer Bob is yet to be discovered and they are currently classified as a level 3 potential threat due to their seemingly godlike control of the Waira and their mysterious origins. Currently we have advised our couriers to maintain a positive rapport with Bob until next steps can be properly planned out.)

Patterns: The Waira have been observed to re-naturalize the caustic environment around it through a unique process of terraforming. This method appears to leave behind no by products other than an edible vegetable like tubular root system. As far as our surveyors have been able to discern the direction of this terraforming is lead entirely by Farmer Bob, to what end we don't know. It appears to be altruistic in nature, an effort to potentially revert the district to the state it was in before The Happening. However, our research states that the Waira did not exist before The Happening, we havent confirmed them to be a creation of Farmer Bob just yet but that is where we are leaning.

Known Variants:

Basic: Docile in nature, females are a pale color and males are a blue grey. A reliable food source for anyone looking for an energy boost. 

Odds of encountering: 2 in 5 (In extremely rare cases these have been found with stardust fused to the outside of the Waira)

Angry: Not aggressive towards humans, bright red, always ready to fight another Red Waira over anything. Can cause rage and rapid mood shifts if consumed, but can also provide focus.

Odds of encountering: 1 in 5

Sad: Known to cause depression when consumed. Pairing with a fortified wine seems to reduce the impact of this. Various shades of blue. 

Odds of encountering: 1 In 5 (In extremely rare cases these have been found with an unearthly blue shine)  

Love: The most sentient of all the Waira. An aphrodisiac if consumed however this is considered extremely unethical in most of the known world. Pink in color, known to quickly form lasting bonds with handlers.

If Encountered: The Waira have not been observed to be aggressive in nature, if encountered you should treat them as you might a housepet as they have been known to form bonds with some of our more charismatic couriers. In rare cases a specific species of Red Waira have been known to flare up and take up an aggressive stance, but they've only been seen fighting with other red Waira. We think this could be cultural or ritualistic in nature. Our best advice is to care for your Waira and attempt to form a bond. your Waira needs no care as it can and will take care of itself, but it prefers to be in the company of a handler.

To Adopt: Submit a request and a Waira will be randomly assigned to you. Should you wish to adopt more than one Waira our system will ensure that you do not receive duplicates as Waira can be territorial over their handlers.
